Did Someone Say Mahout by Jeanna French

Today a mahout is what we will be
High atop an elephant strong and free
We put the wrap around our waist and tied it nice and tight
It was time to jump on an elephant, oh what a sight
We huffed and puffed and tried to pull ourselves aboard
While the elephants glared at us thinking "oh Lord!"
Where did these girls come from and how did they get here?
Do they even know how to use their feet to steer?
High atop an elephant we rode today
Tomorrow on the massage table is where we will lay!
Who are these two?

Double Trouble Mahouts!

One Up!
One to Go!

Let's Try This Again!

Where's Reverse?

Giddy Up!

Expert Mahouts!

  1. Oh my Lord!! While I don't think Lord Tennyson should feel threatened by the poetry, I am still laughing about the "one to go" photo above. So much fun!!!

Interestingly... On the Bachelor, they also rode elephants on on of his overnight dates! Just thought I'd keep you up to date on the pop culture of the US. You're welcome.

  2. Oh geez luweez! I'm laughing out loud.....with these wonderful pics! You look like you both had a blast atop these massive gentle creatures! I have to say...the massage is the right way to think Jeanna! I'm sure you used some muscles you didn't know you had! Enjoy all the splendor of these wonderful elephants....and the massage...well I don't need to say anything about that! Have fun....and then have more fun! xoxox

  3. Nice job on the lyrical Mahout poetry, Jeanna. That looks like so much fun. I want one of those hats, and the blue Mahout suit, too! Don't you think we would all look really cool wearing that on the Haute? :-o

  4. oh my gosh what a sight not only the beautiful elephants but the push up on one. but the mounting on the elephant brings a whole new meaning to push ups . you both look so cute in your outfits. Jeanna you getting a bath from your elephant reminds me of the blue lagoon and your hair. keep the great attitude. ( can you hear me laughing!!!)
